Today- November 20th- marks the 13th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance. It’s a day when we stop to remember those that are no longer with us simply because they were themselves. This day means a lot to me.
It frustrates me that hatred like this still exists, it frustrates…
Cheers to those who are being what they want to be. It is hard. It is DAMN hard, to have the courage to defy what everyone wants you to be, to be abandoned by friends and family simply because you became something they didn’t want you to be. Even though I am a straight female, born a female, I still know what it’s like to have everyone write you off as a loser and a failure at life, simply because you made the choices YOU wanted to make. So ‘spect, y’all.
